Embossing and debossing on boxes

Embossing raises the paper; debossing presses it down. Both create real physical depth on the box surface rather than a printed imitation of it, which lets a box read as quiet and premium even with very little colour.

Depth and crispness depend on board thickness and how the die is cut, so we assess both while the paper is still being chosen and produce a real mock-up for approval before the run.
