What a rigid box (jua-pang box) is

A rigid box — known in Thai printing shops as a jua-pang box — is built from thick rigid board and then wrapped in printed or specialty paper. Unlike a folding carton that ships flat and is assembled on site, a rigid box arrives already formed: solid in the hand, no flex, and it holds its shape even when stacked.

We work in 1.5–2.5 mm board, chosen by product weight and box size. Light goods like cosmetics or cards sit fine on 1.5–2 mm; larger boxes or heavier contents move to 2–2.5 mm so the walls don't bow when lifted or shipped.

Constructions to choose from

Rigid boxes divide by how they open. These are the two we produce most:

• Lid-and-base boxes — a separate lid drops over the base. The classic shape, easiest to cost-control, and a good fit for products laid out in a tray.
• Magnetic boxes — a hinged lid with magnets concealed beneath the wrap, pulling itself shut in one clean snap for a more premium open.

Drawer-style and two-layer tray builds are also available to suit the product.

Finishing that pairs with it

The box is only the structure; what makes it read as a brand is the finishing. We handle foil stamping in gold, silver, and rose gold, embossing and debossing, matte, gloss, and spot UV coating, and full-surface printing in the same factory.

Inside, EVA foam or paper tray inserts hold the product still so the opened box looks deliberately arranged.

What it suits

Best for products with enough unit value to justify the packaging — jewelry, watches, skincare, perfume, corporate gifts, and collectibles. If volume and low cost per box matter more, a folding carton is the better answer.
